According to Bruce Metcalf "women all over the world wear a substantial portion of their wealth in jewellery, which can be converted into goods and services should the need arise". In my point of view I think that serves as a redeem aspect because gold is one of the most respected or highly valued metal that is ever used in the world and it holds a much better value even if it has been used.
